2nd Indian Ocean Studies Conference:
Continuity and Change in the Indian Ocean in an Age of Uncertainty
Sheridan Institute of Higher Education, in partnership with AAMH and the WA Maritime Museum, hosted a biennial Indian Ocean Studies Conference from 12-13 November 2021. The conference was held in Perth, Western Australia at the WA Maritime Museum and Sheridan Institute. The biennial Indian Ocean Studies Conferences provides an important venue for researchers, scholars, policy-makers, students and the general public to meet and share their thoughts and ideas on this significant region. The conference facilitated presentations and discussions focusing on the sub-themes: maritime history and trade, education and communities, faith and culture, and defence and political science.

1st Indian Ocean Studies Conference
Sheridan Institute of Higher Education, in partnership with the AAMH hosted the first biennial Indian Ocean Studies Conference from 22 and 23 November 2019 in Perth.

7th IMEHA International Congress of Maritime History
The Congress was hosted by Murdoch University, the Western Australian Maritime Museum and the Australian Association for Maritime History and held at Murdoch University, Perth Australia.
The launch of Hartog Special Issue The Great Circle at the International Congress on Maritime History occurred at the Kerry Stokes Gallery on 28 June.
